2. How we use information
- To create and secure your account, sign you in, and verify your email address.
- To provide the Services: generate QR codes, tags and window stickers, sync your inventory, redirect short links, and show you scan analytics for your own codes.
- To process subscriptions and payments, and send receipts and account notices.
- To detect, prevent and investigate fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- To maintain, debug and improve the Services.
- To create aggregated, de-identified statistics (for example, average daily scans in a region) that cannot be used to identify an individual or a specific customer organization.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.
3. Google user data
If you sign in with Google, QR Snap requests only basic profile scopes (openid, email, profile). We use your Google name, email address and profile picture solely to create and identify your QR Snap account and sign you in. We do not request access to your Gmail, Drive, Contacts, Calendar, or any other Google service data.
QR Snap's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically, we:
- use Google user data only to provide and improve the user-facing sign-in feature described above;
- do not transfer Google user data to others except as needed to provide that feature, to comply with law, or as part of a merger or acquisition with notice to you;
- do not use Google user data for advertising, and do not sell it;
- do not allow humans to read Google user data, except with your consent, for security purposes, to comply with law, or when the data has been aggregated and anonymized;
- do not use Google user data to develop, improve or train generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
You can revoke QR Snap's access at any time from your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
4. How we share information
We share information only in the following cases:
- Service providers that help us run the Services under confidentiality obligations: hosting and infrastructure, email delivery, payment processing (PayPal, BTCPay Server), and IP-geolocation and mapping data.
- Integrations you authorize, such as dealer website or DMS inventory providers, only to sync your own inventory.
- Within your organization: other users on your organization's account can see that organization's inventory and scan analytics.
- Legal and safety: when required by law, subpoena or court order, or to protect the rights, property or safety of QR Snap, our users or the public.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, with notice to you.
5. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and protect your session. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. If you block cookies in your browser, you will not be able to sign in.
6. Data retention
We keep account and inventory data for as long as your account is active. Scan analytics are kept for the life of the account so you can see historical reports. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except data we must keep to meet legal, tax or accounting obligations, or to resolve disputes. Backups are overwritten on a rolling basis.
7. Security
We protect data with TLS encryption in transit, hashed passwords, access controls limited to staff who need it, and API keys scoped per account. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you of a breach where required by law.
8. Your rights and choices
- Access, correct or update your account information from your profile page at any time.
- Request a copy of your data, or deletion of your account and personal information, by emailing admin@qrsnap.io.
- Revoke Google sign-in access as described in Section 3.
- Depending on where you live (for example, California or the EU/UK), you may have additional rights, such as objecting to or restricting processing. Contact us to exercise them; we will not discriminate against you for doing so.
People who scan a QR Snap code and want to ask about their scan data can contact us at the same address.
9. Children
The Services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. International users
QR Snap is operated from the United States, and information is processed and stored in the United States.
